Bengaluru: The three-month intensive preparatory for perpetual profession (IPPP) in Forge Key began on January 6, 2025, at Sanyasa Institute. Twenty-seven participants from six religious congregations formally entered “the Forge” on Friday, January 10th, in a profoundly moving initiation ritual.
Sanyasa had been organizing such intensive programme in view of perpetual profession, for several years. However, it was last year that the entire programme was reconceived in the Claretian Forge key.
It was felt that St. Anthony Mary Claret’s charismatic formative experience of Forge was not only applicable to Claretian missionaries, but was a gift for the world of any consecrated person.
Hence, it was decided to re-calibrate the programme along the Forge dynamics. Accordingly, following an initiation ritual, the participants move through the four phases of Forge, viz., Quid Prodest, Patris Mei, Caritas Christi, and Spiritus Domini. Across these phases, they learn the essentials of consecrated life, closely accompanied in Vocational Growth Sessions (VGS) by dedicated spiritual guides.
