Bengaluru: St. Claret College, Autonomous, marked a significant milestone in its institutional journey with the inauguration and blessing of the new Annex Block on Friday, 24 October 2025. As part of the Patron’s Day celebrations, Most Rev. Peter Machado, Archbishop of Bangalore blessed and dedicated the state-of-the-art facility, while Dr. Fr. Sabu Koottarappallil, Provincial Superior, formally opened the building.

The ceremony began with a solemn blessing rite invoking God’s grace upon the new structure, which is poised to support the college’s expanding academic and administrative needs.
The Annex Block houses modern classrooms equipped with advanced teaching technology, seminar halls for academic discussions and training programmes, dedicated faculty spaces, and a range of student-support facilities — all designed to enhance the learning environment and foster holistic development.

A week later, on 30 October 2025, a second ceremony was held in the presence of students and alumni, during which Dr. U. T. Khader, Speaker of the Karnataka Legislative Assembly, formally dedicated the building to the mission of education. He was joined by Shri Munirathna, MLA of Rajarajeshwari Nagar, who graced the event as a guest of honour. The occasion also coincided with the 20th anniversary celebration of St. Claret College, highlighted by impressive music and dance performances by the students, showcasing the institution’s vibrant campus culture.

The inauguration of the Annex Block marks a new chapter in the college’s story — one defined by vision, foresight, and an unwavering commitment to empowering students with quality education, enhanced facilities, and meaningful opportunities for growth.
