Bengaluru: Twelve young priest of the Province of Bangalore came together animated by the prefecture of formation for a three day Missionary Renewal at the provincial curia from 11 to 13 February 2025. The ongoing formation gathering aimed at fraternal communion and enhancing missionary life and apostolic effectiveness.
The young missionaries, together with the prefect of formation, spent time in reviewing the call to continual process of formation guided by self-motivation and seeking conformity with Christ the Missionary. Half a day was dedicated to walk the path as Pilgrims of Hope among those offering hope to the people in peripheries at our Sumanahalli campus. This pilgrim walk enlightened the young missionaries in understanding the human and social peripheries in context and ways to respond to those challenges.
Fr. Divya Paul of the archdiocese of Bangalore motivated the young minds through a seminar on "Fostering Pastoral Effectiveness - Insights for Jubilee 2025". He focused on relevant themes like ‘Anchored in Faith - Sustained by Prayer’, ‘Engaging Hearts - Building Communities’, ‘Balancing Wisdom and Emotional Resilience’.
Keeping abreast with the complex nature of modern family, Fr. Chinnanna, CMF helped the participants in understanding the care of families in pastoral ministry.
Fr. Joseph Panthiruvelil, CMF guided them in comprehending the concepts of financial administration. Provincial Superior spent time with the young missionaries, listening to them and animating them especially towards fostering spiritual growth and community life.
